This is a hybrid role, requiring onsite presence in Batesville, IN one day per week (or as business needs require).
Your Role at Batesville:
As a Human Resources Business Partner, you'll collaborate with business leaders to identify, design, and implement solutions across all areas of Human Resources. The goal is to foster a culture of high performance, strong employee engagement, and steady growth. Your main responsibilities will include overseeing talent management, managing organization change initiatives ensuring HR practices support the process, addressing associate relations matters and fostering a positive workplace culture.

What You’ll Do:
- Serve as strategic HR advisor, coach and partner to the management teams, providing HR expertise and raising effectiveness in matters related to career development, staffing initiatives, associate relations, and performance management.
- Partners with HR team to drive execution against the HR strategy across organization.
- Creates an environment of positive associate relations and open communication.
- Provides guidance and input on business function structure, workforce planning, and succession planning.
- Manages and resolves complex associate relations issues, conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations, and provides recommendations for resolutions considering legal and compliance.
- In partnership with HR leadership, administers compensation program including market pricing, program evaluation, compensation structure maintenance and provides guidance on compensation strategy & pay mix.
- Works closely with all HR functions to provide seamless HR support and guidance to the business.
- Assists management in the development of solutions through process redesign, change management and culture change.
- Proactively looks for way to improve the function’s effectiveness and enhance organizational impact.
- Assists in development, implementation as well as maintaining human resources policy and procedures.
- Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations; partners with managers to make improvements based upon constructive feedback.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Human Resources, Business, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience with an emphasis in Human Resources.
- A minimum of three (3) years progressive, professional HR experience including working with Sales compensation programs.
- Knowledge of state and federal employment law and HR best practices.
- Experience with Workday systems is highly valued.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and complex administrative processes, projects, with many initiatives taking place simultaneously in conjunction with day-to-day activities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A passion for nurturing a positive workplace culture.
- Motivated, goal/results oriented, adaptable, self-starter, and analytical.
- Demonstrated computer skills, including MS Office Suite
- Ability to travel 10% of the time
Nice to Haves:
- PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
