Your Role at Batesville:
As Director of Inside Sales, you will be responsible for leading strategy development and execution for assigned customer segment and prospects. This role will directly manage the team responsible for driving direct and indirect sales through telephone sales and customer management. This role is pivotal in fostering a collaborative and problem-solving environment with internal teams and customers. The Director, Inside Sales will develop and implement strategies to achieve business objectives, manage sales programs, continuously improve standardized work, enhance data analytics & metrics/KPIs to support performance, and ensure the professional growth and development of the inside sales team. This role will lead the development of strategic initiatives and inside sales objectives by collaborating with leaders throughout the sales and marketing groups.

- The expected base salary range for this role is $100,000 to $130,000 per year. Actual compensation within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to qualifications, skills, experience, and location.
- In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based bonuses or other forms of incentive compensation.

What You’ll Do:
- Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to maximize revenue, improve market penetration, enhance value proposition, and gain market share in a remote or call center environment. Take action to adjust to changing conditions and is agile and adaptable in pivoting to alternative approaches.
- Sales Program Management & Performance Monitoring: Direct sales forecasting activities, set performance goals, and monitor sales associate activities to ensure alignment with sales objectives. Assigns sales territories and manage quotas. Will utilize technology and systems to leverage data to drive superior performance and activity (ie CRM, cloud digital routing phone system, etc.).
- Demonstrated success in supervising and developing sales staff: Working in a remote or call center environment, using phone closing techniques and CRM systems for lead management and performance tracking.
- Team Development & Leadership: Recruit, train and provide coaching on sales techniques and product knowledge. Strong coaching skills for helping team members refine their phone communication, objection handling, and closing strategies
- Relationship Management: Support Sales Representatives in maintaining and developing customer relationships. Conduct performance observations and provide feedback for improvement.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Analytical Insights: Collaborate with Sales Management, Marketing, and Finance to analyze customer behavior and generate strategic insights. Compile and analyze key performance metrics. Support cohesive company efforts to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Sales Execution: Participate in sales presentations and support the sales process to ensure seamless customer experience.
- Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, improve customer satisfaction, and engage internal resources to support customer needs.
- Budget Management: Analyze and control expenditures within budgetary requirements.
- Other duties as assigned
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S. /B.A.) or equivalent from a college or university
- Minimum of five years related sales/sales management experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with an emphasis in sales and sales management
- Must be able to travel up to 15% of the time
Nice to Haves:
- Demonstrated remote or phone sales in a B2B environment
- Strong knowledge of sales functions, sales administration, and phone selling strategies
- Demonstrated ability to lead sales training and development
- Technical proficiency and familiarity with CRM platforms, sales enablement tools, and data analysis/reporting skills
- Remote or cloud based phone system management experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, using data analytics and KPIs
- Ability to foster teamwork and collaboration
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
