Your Role at Batesville:
As a Robotics Specialist, you will be responsible for programming and maintaining robotic weld systems, including MIG, TIG, resistance and laser welding applications to support plant production. This role ensures robotic welders are optimized for safety, efficiency, and product quality. The specialist collaborates with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to maximize uptime, troubleshoot issues and continuously improve robotic welding processes.

- The expected base salary range for this role is $81,000 to $101,320 per year. Actual compensation within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to qualifications, skills, experience, and location.

What You’ll Do:
- Develop, test, and adjust programs for robotic welding systems (Fronius, Fanuc, ABB, or equivalent)
- Adjust programs to accommodate new product designs, fixtures, or material changes
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on robotic welders, controllers, welding power sources, and laser welding equipment
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and programming documentation
- Work with the Engineering team and the Quality team to ensure weld integrity
- Conduct root cause analysis of weld or laser seam defects and implement corrective action
- Provide Technical support during production launches and changeovers
- Assist in standardizing best practices across robotic welding cells
- Ensure robotic welding systems meet OSHA, plant safety, and quality standards
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) or equivalent from a college or university in Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, Welding Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 2 years related engineering experience and/or training; with an emphasis on manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Fronius welding systems, Fanuc or ABB robots, and PLC integration preferred
- Knowledge of weld symbols, blueprints, and quality inspection methods
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem solving and diagnostic skills
- Effective communication, documentation and teamwork abilities
- Experience in robotics.
Nice to Haves:
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing/Operational Excellence principles.
- Demonstrated ability to teach and coach.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced degree related to business or project management.
