Your Role at Batesville:

As a Director of Digital Technology, you will be responsible for leading our technology team while collaborating closely with Product Management and Marketing to drive digital innovation across both B2B and B2B2C business models. This role will oversee the development and execution of digital strategies, ensuring seamless integration between technology, product, and marketing to enhance customer experiences, optimize digital platforms, and accelerate business growth.

The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with a strong technical foundation, experience in digital product development, eCommerce platforms, and a passion for creating customer-centric, data-driven solutions.

What You’ll Do:

  • Digital Strategy & Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive digital roadmap that aligns technology with product management and marketing goals.
    • Partner with Product Management to define, develop, and optimize customer-facing digital solutions that enhance engagement and retention.
    • Work closely with Marketing teams to integrate digital strategies that drive customer acquisition, brand awareness, and revenue growth.
    • Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive dynamics to inform strategy.
  • Technology & Platform Development
    • Oversee the development of web, mobile, and eCommerce platforms, ensuring performance, security, and scalability.
    • Drive API integrations and partnerships with third-party platforms to enhance ecosystem connectivity.
    • Implement and optimize cloud-based and SaaS technologies to improve efficiency and innovation.
    • Experience with Shopify, SAP Hybris, or similar eCommerce platforms is a plus.
  • Customer Experience & Data-Driven Insights
    • Enhance B2B and B2B2C digital experiences, ensuring seamless customer journeys across platforms.
    • Leverage data analytics, AI, and personalization to improve customer engagement and conversion rates.
    • Develop A/B testing frameworks and digital optimization strategies in collaboration with marketing and product teams.
  • Operational Excellence & Team Management
    • Build and lead a high-performing technology team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
    • Establish KPIs and performance metrics to measure digital success and continuously optimize.
    • Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and technology investments to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) or equivalent from a college or university in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field; and a minimum of 8 years related IT leadership experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with an emphasis in CRM, Digital marketing, eCommerce, and Call Center Technologies.
  • 10+ years of experience in digital leadership, technology strategy, or product development.
  • Strong background in eCommerce, software development, SaaS platforms, and cloud-based solutions.
  • Experience working closely with Product Management and Marketing teams to align digital strategy with business goals.
  • Expertise in data analytics, AI, digital marketing technologies, and customer experience optimization.
  • Proven ability to drive digital transformation and change management within an organization.
  • Experience with Shopify, SAP Hybris, or similar eCommerce platforms is a plus.
  • Experience with modern web technologies such as Node.js and React
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice To Haves:

  • Experience working in agile development and leading scrum teams.
  • Knowledge of CRM, and ERP systems.
  • Background in cybersecurity and data privacy best practices.
