Your Role at Batesville:
As a Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for evaluating the needs of our business partners and customers and creating and implementing solutions which align with our organization’s development standards to meet those needs. This individual will partner with various users in the business and IT organizations to gather and analyze requirements, design solutions to meet defined specifications, and develop and maintain software and solutions based on defined specifications. This position will participate in various techno-functional projects and may lead project workstreams as required.

What You’ll Do:
- Design, develop and maintain systems applications (with minimal guidance) which support business and customer needs and adhere to coding standards and best design practices.
- Participate (with minimal guidance) in various techno-functional projects and lead projects workstreams as required while adhering to the systems development lifecycle (SDLC) and utilizing various project management tools.
- Partner with business associates to define and document robust business requirements functional specifications and test plans for new applications and software.
- Partner with business associates to define and maintain documentation and procedures for various software and solutions as needed.
- Assist in training associates to utilize newly created software and applications as needed.
- Apply change management principles when implementing or modifying applications or processes.
- Engage with third party vendors as needed to maintain and manage supplementary software solutions.
- Participate in the planning, development and maintenance of the organization’s application and technology roadmap to ensure we are utilizing latest available technologies and solutions to best serve the needs of our business.
- Participate in periodic review of the organization’s application stack to ensure solutions continue to meet the needs of the business and adhere to design and architectural standards.

What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) or equivalent from a college or university in Information Systems, Computer Science or other related field of study; and a minimum of two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Intermediate knowledge of programming methodology and concepts with an emphasis on object-oriented programming concepts and Microsoft .NET architecture.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of ERP systems including JD Edwards and associated development toolsets is preferred.
- Intermediate knowledge with systems development life cycle (SDLC).
- Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office applications.
- Basic knowledge of relational database architecture and tools including SQL Server, Oracle and general PL/SQL concepts.
- Basic knowledge of project management toolsets and concepts including knowledge of project and portfolio management (PPM) solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Nice to Haves:
- Intermediate knowledge of project management toolsets.
- Intermediate knowledge of database architecture and tools (SQL Server, Oracle, PL/SQL concepts).
