Your Role at Batesville:

As a Product Marketing Manager, you will support the creation of our go to market strategy and execute against the product marketing plan related to our Software Technology and Software products to drive awareness, demand, and adoption.  The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the software market, customer needs, and the competitive landscape. They will bridge the gap between product management and marketing, translating technical product features into customer benefits and positioning the product for success in the marketplace. This role requires a mix of strategic thinking, technical knowledge, and marketing expertise to ensure the software product’s success in the market.

What You’ll Do:

  • Serve as liaison between technical, customer and business teams to collaborate on product visions and strategies.
  • Market Research and Competitive Analysis:
    • Conduct ongoing market research to understand customer needs, market trends, and the competitive landscape.
    • Use insights from market research to guide product development, marketing strategies, and sales enablement efforts.
    • Partner with product management teams creating long term strategies to continuously enhance the product VOC to achieve adoption and revenue targets.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy
    • Create and execute go-to-market plans for product launches, including target audience identification, competitive analysis, messaging, promotional activities and launch strategies across all internal and external stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, product management, customer success) to ensure alignment in go-to-market activities.
    • Manage marketing budget spend through invoice approvals, payment, and reconciliation.
    • Develop and manage customer stories and case studies that showcase the value and success of our software solutions.
    • Work with customer success teams to identify satisfied customers who can act as references and participate in marketing activities.
    • Represent the company and product at industry events, trade shows, webinars, and conferences.
  • Product Positioning and Messaging
    • Develop compelling product positioning and messaging that differentiates our software products and technology solutions portfolio in the market.
    • Collaborate with other internal product teams to ensure alignment of software product position across the brand to maximize value.
    • Translate complex technical product features into clear and customer-centric value propositions.
  • Demand Generation and Campaign Development
    • Work with the Marketing Services Team to create and execute marketing campaigns (email, digital, social) that drive awareness and demand for the product.
    • Collaborate with marketing services team to optimize campaigns for lead generation and customer acquisition, monitoring performance and adjusting strategies based on data insights.
    • Monitor and report on the performance of product marketing efforts, including campaign effectiveness, product adoption rates, and market share.
    • Use data-driven insights to refine marketing strategies and improve ROI.
  • Sales Enablement
    • Develop sales tools and collateral (presentations, case studies, whitepapers) that support the sales team in effectively communicating the value of the product.
    • Train the sales team on product positioning, market differentiation, and customer pain points to improve the sales pitch.
    • Participate as key member of Marketing leadership team to develop and implement annual business plan including platform strategy, operating expense, and to meet EBITDA goals across the entire Batesville organization.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) or equivalent from a college or university in Business, Marketing, or related field; and a minimum of 7 years related technology, product marketing and strategy experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in product marketing and/or technology marketing experience.
  • Data-driven with advanced analytical acumen and the ability to effectively analyze data, translate to insights to action and present to an executive audience.
  • Deep experience in Product Marketing, Marketing Strategy, GTM execution of software and digital Products.
  • Experience developing impactful, successful launch and adoption strategies for digital products and ecommerce products.
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and SaaS business models.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into customer benefits.
  • A growth mindset with a keen ability to problem-solving in an ever-changing industry. 
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office programs (e.g. PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
  • Advanced experience working with large cross-functional projects with great complexity and scope while consistently executing on time in a pressure driven environment.
  • Advanced understanding of digital marketing tools, system, CRM, and Analytics tools.
  • Intermediate experience with change management concepts.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
