We are currently seeking a Content Writer to join our team in Batesville, IN. This role is primarily remote, with occasional days in the office to collaborate with the team.
Your Role at Batesville:
As a Content Writer, you will be responsible for crafting compelling and dynamic brand-focused messaging and promotional copy based on project scope and objectives as outlined by the marketing team member, in alignment with established brand standards and voice.
The copywriter works closely with marketing teams and other key stakeholders to bring a marketing idea or initiative to life through succinct and hardworking email and marketing communications across multiple channels. The copywriter will report to the Brand & Creative Services Manager.

What You’ll Do:
- Fully understand and differentiate among unique B2B customer segments as well as the consumer (B2C and D2C) when developing copy for a variety of materials and outputs. Create engaging and persuasive content for multi-channel marketing campaigns that moves prospects and customers through the journey with personalized, relevant communications.
- Translate complex technical products into a way that’s easily understandable and resonates with our customers. Partner with designers, product managers, segment specialists and other marketers to create customer-focused content, continually innovate and improve the customer experience.
- Write compelling, clear and concise copy that is accurate, well-researched, tailored to the audience and customer persona for email, print collateral, website, case studies, eBooks, video and social media.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency across all communication channels, campaigns and assets, and adhering to our editorial voice and content standards.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and ability to implement SEO best practices to improve website content and increase overall website traffic. Use data analytics and research to structure content that best meets audience needs and drives highest conversions.
- Maintain and contribute to the overall content marketing calendar.
- Respond to all requests and communications in a timely and thorough manner.
- Edit and proofread a variety of communications materials to meet brand standards and editorial tone.
- Other duties as required.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) or equivalent from a college or university in Communications, PR, English, or related discipline; and a minimum of 2 years related professional copywriting experience and/or training.
- Ability to travel <10% of the time.
- Demonstrated writing and typing skills.
- Experience writing copy or with a specific industry, such as healthcare, manufacturing, marketing, or technology, may be beneficial or required.
- Strong communication, research, and typing skills.
- Creativity, resourcefulness, flexibility, and motivation.
- Ability to understand the needs associated with a project and the target audience.
- Receptive to feedback.
- Attention to detail and strong project management skills to meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience working with creative or design teams and in building and maintaining positive business relationships.
- Excellent organizational skills, including multitasking, time management, and attention to detail.
- Self-starter with the ability to handle pressure and make good decisions quickly.
