We are currently seeking a Plant Controller to join our team in Manchester.

Your Role at Batesville:

As a Plant Controller, you will be responsible for providing leadership and directing the company's financial reporting environment, ensuring that financial information is prepared in a timely and accurate manner and in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.

  • Directly and indirectly supervises employees.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company policies, the Code of Ethical Business Conduct and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

What You’ll Do:

  • Controller is key member of finance management team responsible for setting and achieving key finance initiatives.
  • Prepares reports which summarize plant business activity and financial results in the areas of income, expenses, ownership interests (assets), payment obligations (liabilities), and resulting net equity for both internal and external reporting purposes on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
  • Provides plant and corporate management with timely reviews of organization's financial status and progress in its various programs and activities.
  • Controller is responsible for directing and arranging the audits of company’s books and records at their location.
  • Prepares or assist with preparation of reports required by regulatory agencies.
  • Oversees internal control environment ensuring proper adherence to financial and accounting policies.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

What You’ll Bring:

  • CPA or CMA preferred
    • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university; and six to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Degree in Finance or Accounting required.  MBA or master's in accounting or finance a plus.
  • Strong Computer skills to include Microsoft Office
  • Thorough working knowledge of GAAP
  • Experience in a manufacturing facility required.

Travel:
