We are currently seeking a Desktop Tech I to join our team in Batesville, IN.

Your Role at Batesville:

As a Desktop Tech I, you will be responsible for performing problem identification and resolution with all levels of associates who contact the IT Service Desk with service requests.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provides technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware either in person or over the phone.
  • Installs, modifies, and repairs computer hardware and software including peripherals.
  • Manages IT ticketing software by following ITIL best practices.
  • Participates in a 24x7 on call rotation.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

What You’ll Bring:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or a minimum of 12 months related technical support experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with an emphasis in information technology.
  • Minimum of 6+ months of experience in an IT call center environment working end-user issues remotely required.
  • Minimum of 6+ months of experience in an IT deskside support environment required.
  • Basic skills in troubleshooting Microsoft Office issues required.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows-based Operating Systems required.
  • Basic level knowledge of troubleshooting methods required.
  • Basic knowledge of remote desktop tools required.
  • Basic level knowledge of supporting mobile devices such as iOS, Android, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of identity management required.
  • Proficient keyboard typing skills required.
  • Basic ability to prioritize and multi-task end user issues required.
  • Basic knowledge of basic applications such as MS Office, anti-virus, Windows Update, Adobe products, etc. required.
  • Basic level customer service skills through both verbal and written communication required.
  • Basic level knowledge of IT security protocols, such as virus protection, malware detection, etc. required.
  • Basic level of knowledge of help desk processes required.
  • Basic level knowledge working with an IT incident and change management system such as Ivanti required.

Nice to Haves:

  • Basic knowledge of wireless connectivity with various devices.
  • Basic level knowledge of VDI solutions such as Citrix, Wyse terminals, etc.
  • ITIL Certification preferred.
