We are currently seeking a Director of Information Security to join our team. 

Your Role at Batesville:

As a Director of Information Security, you will play a critical role in protecting the organization's digital assets, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations, and collaborating with our Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP). This position will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain effective cybersecurity and IT Risk management strategies. This Director of Information Security will support the enterprise by providing cybersecurity leadership, management, expertise, and education. This position is the subject matter expert for this area and will provide in-depth analysis, critical thinking, and technical knowledge.

What You’ll Do:

  • Cybersecurity Strategy: Develop, implement, and manage the company's cybersecurity strategy, policies, and procedures to protect against threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Security Operations Center (SOC) Management: Collaborate with the SOC to monitor and respond to security incidents, ensuring timely and effective incident resolution.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant cybersecurity regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR) and lead efforts to maintain and obtain necessary certifications.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct regular cybersecurity risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and prioritize mitigation efforts.
  • Incident Response: Develop and maintain an incident response plan, lead incident investigations, and coordinate with external stakeholders as needed.
  • Security Awareness: Promote a culture of cybersecurity awareness throughout the organization, including training and awareness programs.
  • Security Technology: Evaluate and recommend security technologies, tools, and solutions to enhance the organization's security posture.
  • Security Monitoring: Oversee the continuous monitoring of network and system logs, intrusion detection, and other security-related data sources.
  • Security Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of cybersecurity policies, procedures, and incident reports.
  • Internal Communication: Provide updates to the Executive team through the use of dashboards, routine reports, etc. regarding the current state of the security at the organization.
  • Vendor Relationships: Manage relationships with third-party security vendors, consultants, and service providers including our MSSP.
  • Other duties may be assigned. 

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) or equivalent in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field and a minimum 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven experience in cybersecurity management, including experience working with an outsourced SOC.
  • Proficiency in securing cloud environments, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience developing and delivering security awareness training programs for employees.
  • Knowledge of securing AI and machine learning models and datasets.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity standards, regulations, and best practices, as well as cloud security best practices and tools.
  • Familiarity with security technologies, such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint security solutions.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and lead cross-functional teams. 

Nice to Haves:

  • Familiarity with secure software development (e.g., DevSecOps) and ability to work with development teams to integrate security into the SDLC.
