We are currently seeking a Large Emerging Account (LEA) Sales Specialist to join our team.

Your Role at Batesville:

As a Large Emerging Account (LEA) Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for growing and maintaining sales revenue by calling on assigned business accounts and supporting the existing LEA accounts.  This role will drive growth, manage accounts through the sales cycle and will assist in supporting multiple projects and key initiatives for LEA accounts and other accounts as assigned.  This role will build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers and influencers to generate new business and expand existing business opportunities through cross-selling and upselling.  The Representative will ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction and proactively manage retention efforts of existing customers.  This role will exhibit strong selling skills, experience with existing product lines, excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills, as well as strong customer service orientation.

What You’ll Do:

  • Establishes, builds and maintains quality relationships with existing and prospective customers to sell products to grow Batesville’s overall book of business across all product lines
  • Provides customer support for assigned accounts to assist in resolving customer concerns related to product quality and/or availability
  • Monitor and track sales performance for assigned accounts, analyze sales data and trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
  • Knowledge and skill to have a broader understanding of all company value props and can recognize the customer needs have a conversation to properly determine the necessary path where additional support or other tools are needed
  • Maintain and update CRM system with customer records, results, activities, and insights
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and customer success teams to provide feedback, insights, and customer testimonials
  • Coordinates directly with logistics, credit, and marketing teams regarding customer concerns and proactively develops relationships with all stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Conduct effective sales presentations to customers with the support of technology and direct marketing efforts.
  • Presenting and Demonstrating Products conducting virtual presentations or demos showcasing value propositions and addressing buyer needs
  • Negotiating and Closing Sales including, pricing, terms, and customer offer to finalize sales terms in alignment with company goals
  • Completes reports and supports data requests of internal departments and customers
  • Collaborates with sales management, field sales, and national accounts to engage resources to support sales activities that generate new business
  • Stay updated on market trends, competitors, and industry standards
  • Other duties as required

 What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) or equivalent from a college or university in business, marketing, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years related experience in new business sales, account management, telephone sales; or equivalent combination of education and experience with an emphasis in sales activities
  • Communication: Clear, persuasive verbal and written communication is essential for engaging prospects via phone, email, and video
  • Active Listening: Understanding customer needs and demonstrating empathy fosters trust and strengthens rapport.
  • Rapport Building: Establishing quick, authentic relationships improves conversion rates and long-term retention
  • Presentation Skills: Demonstrating value during calls, demos, or virtual meetings drives customer confidence
  • Closing Skills: Confidence and persistence in finalizing deals while addressing objections effectively
  • Data-Driven Decision-Making: Using metrics and sales intelligence to improve conversion rates and forecasting accuracy
  • Telephone/ Virtual Sales: Advanced levels of experience in working in sales and preferably supporting customers in an remote environment Conflict Management: Handling rejections and objections professionally while maintaining positive client relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to provide problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment that requires ability to adapt to change and multitasking as critical skills
  • Demonstrated ability in attention to detail, customer focus, and driving results
  • Learning Ability: ability to quickly learn Batesville product lines, business systems, and sales operations
  • Technical Ability: Intermediate level of skill in using Microsoft 365 suite
