Your Role at Batesville:
As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for driving sales, acquiring new clients, and expanding business opportunities for our software solutions. You will work closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop strategies for lead generation, market expansion, and customer retention

- The expected base salary range for this role is $70,000 - $85,000 per year. Actual compensation within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to qualifications, skills, experience, and location.

What You’ll Do:
- Lead Generation and Prospecting:
- Identify and generate new business opportunities in target markets through research, networking, and prospecting activities
- Qualify leads, build pipelines, and create a strategy for reaching potential clients, including enterprise customers
- Sales and Client Acquisition:
- Drive the sales process, including lead qualifications, presentations, product demos, and negotiations, with the goal of closing new business deals
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline and meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets
- Develop tailored proposals and solutions to meet the specific needs of prospects.
- Strategic Partnerships:
- Establish and nurture relationships with key industry players, partners, and influencers to create new partnership opportunities
- Collaborate with other teams, including marketing and product, to ensure alignment of business development efforts with company goals
- Market Research and Analysis:
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for expansion and differentiation.
- Work with internal teams to tailor product offerings to customer needs and market demands
- Customer Engagement and Relationship Management:
- Build and manage strong, long-lasting relationships with new and existing customers.
- Work with the customer success team to ensure smooth onboarding and continued satisfaction.
- Sales Forecasting and Reporting:
- Provide regular sales forecasting, reports, and updates to senior management
- Maintain an up-to-date CRM system with accurate information about leads, opportunities, and customers
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, product, customer success) to ensure a seamless sales process
- Help refine sales strategies and product offerings based on customer feedback and market trends.

What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) or equivalent from a college or university in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of success in related business development or sales, account management, or a related role preferably in SaaS or technology industries; experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in lead generation, negotiating deals, and managing customer relationships
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales tracking software
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to develop strong relationships with key stakeholders at all levels
- Data-driven with a strong understanding of SaaS metrics (e.g., MRR, ARR, LTV, CAC) preferred
- Self-motivated and results-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team preferred
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail preferred
- Knowledge of the software as a service (SaaS) business model and the subscription-based revenue model preferred
- Experience in selling enterprise-level SaaS solutions to both small businesses and large corporations preferred
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and target-driven environment preferred
Travel
