With a remote-first work culture, this will allow flexibility to work from home with a regular cadence of on-site work.

Your Role at Batesville:

As a Director, Sales Operations, you will be a key member of the Sales leadership team and play a critical role in establishing the overall Sales strategy. You will be responsible for the development and implementation of key operational sales processes and initiatives (Sales Force Effectiveness, analytics, CRM, strategy deployment, and compensation).

What You’ll Do: 

  • Serves as a key member of the Sales leadership team and plays a critical role in establishing the overall Sales strategy.
  • Leads key initiatives as defined by the VP, Sales, such as SMP, Sales Meetings, quota setting process, the annual planning process, budgeting, and compensation analysis.
  • Develops and implements overall strategy to improve sales effectiveness, which requires a deep collaboration with Marketing to understand our customer, competitors, and market conditions.
  • Owns the Customer Relationship Management system; sets the overall system strategy to ensure data is captured for analysis and reporting; partners with Technology to implement.
  • Analyzes sales and marketing data to gain insights and evaluate opportunities for improvement to strategy, processes, and tools for increased productivity and effectiveness.
  • Work with Business Intelligence team to turn insights into actionable tasks. 
  • Establish Key Performance Indicators and other metrics to ensure accountability and drive results. 
  • Evaluates and improves the planning and execution process of sales strategy by completing the plan-do-check-act cycle for all levels within the sales organization.
  • Other duties may be assigned. 

What You’ll Bring: 

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) or equivalent from a college or university in a business-related field; and a minimum of 6 to 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent organizational, facilitation and project management skills; process-focused mindset with eye towards process improvement opportunities; perusing best in class and benchmarking
  • Strong understanding of the sales process and challenges our sales force faces within their role/segment.
  • Ability to influence, gain momentum and drive accountability around strategic projects and initiatives, including a high comfort level in facilitating and leading projects that are cross functional in scope.
  • Strong communication skills: written and oral; ability to develop clear and concise presentations.
  • Experience with a CRM, intermediate Microsoft Office, and ability to read and manipulate data.
  • Strong business and financial acumen; ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Understands and champions all customer segments.
  • Engage in and support creative thought. Demonstrate a willingness to try new things, move with pace to gain additional sales and insights with that ability to adjust and adapt.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
